"The clandestine nature of manly sobbing is a modern phenomenon."

- The Observer

Welcome to oldmencrying.com, a site dedicated to the lachrymal performances of the elderly. From scorned politicians, to weary coaches, to mourning fathers - the men who weep shed more than tears: they expose an ineffable pain, a sometimes scary and unsettling sorrow often disproportionate to the event.

As researcher Thomas Uhde said, "It's not only happening to the Dan Rathers of the world, but its happening to millions of people." It is in this spirit that we at oldmencrying.com are working to amass the largest collection of images, audio and video files, and narrative accounts of weeping men ever assembled.

To this end, we need your help. We always welcome submissions, comments, suggestions, and questions; just drop us an email. Enjoy your visit at OMC and thanks for stopping by.

Tearfully yours,

OMC Management

"There's even a web site   called Old Men Crying that posts photo after photo of tearful men and although some are offended -- 'What sort of sick freak are you?'    -- the site's creator says    he was inspired by his own father's tears."

- JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT
